The Memory of Garden Apartment by Ashari Architects is an innovative residential project located on the historic Qasr o Dasht Street in Shiraz, Iran. Designed with a deep respect for the existing greenery, particularly the old trees on the northwest facade, the building’s form was shaped around the preservation of nature. As the architectural photographer, retoucher, and videographer for this project, I focused on capturing the delicate balance between the urban environment and the lush greenery. My architectural photography highlights the dynamic facade that moves with the placement of the trees, while the retouching process ensured the interplay of light and shadow was enhanced to reflect the organic forms. The building’s design, which blurs the lines between interior and exterior spaces, was also showcased through my videography, offering a glimpse into how the interior and the garden spaces connect. The project, which earned a place as a finalist in the 2023 Grand Architect Award in the residential apartment category, presents a beautiful example of blending architecture with nature, and my visual documentation aimed to capture this harmony.
